I Have a Feeling...
I have a feeling.
A new, weird one.
It is like… nothing.
I think a bird frozen in the sky would feel
like this.
Or a tree that grew upside down
into the ground.
A supercomputer
that can’t answer 2 + 2.
Or a lockmaker
who can’t open his own pin.
I think if I were a lamp
that made darkness expand instead of light —
maybe I would feel the same.
Or a fish,
living on the ground.
A new, weird one.
It is like… nothing.
I think a bird frozen in the sky would feel
like this.
Or a tree that grew upside down
into the ground.
A supercomputer
that can’t answer 2 + 2.
Or a lockmaker
who can’t open his own pin.
I think if I were a lamp
that made darkness expand instead of light —
maybe I would feel the same.
Or a fish,
living on the ground.
I feel as helpless
as a leg that needs scratches
under a cast.
I feel scared,
like a snowball rolling and getting bigger
that doesn’t want to harm anything.
I’m ashamed,
like the only apple tree in the garden
that has not fruited
even one single apple.
I have a really, really weird feeling.
I think it followed me home.
It doesn’t talk.
But I think it wants to stay.
HELP!
as a leg that needs scratches
under a cast.
I feel scared,
like a snowball rolling and getting bigger
that doesn’t want to harm anything.
I’m ashamed,
like the only apple tree in the garden
that has not fruited
even one single apple.
I have a really, really weird feeling.
I think it followed me home.
It doesn’t talk.
But I think it wants to stay.
HELP!
